Bookings:
A booking form must be completed for each person attending a walk, lecture or trip. Bookings are only considered confirmed when written confirmation to the attendee has been issued by us, and confirmation of receipt has been confirmed by the attendee, for the walk on the date specified.
To make a booking please complete the booking form once payment has been made the booking will be confirmed.
Please note: Walks are not suitable for children under 15 years of age.

Confirmation:
Once your booking and payment have been received a final confirmation will be issued including where to meet information and contact details. Other general information can also be found on the website.

From 1st October 2012 and 30th April 2013:
Weekend bookings: Payment must be made in advance to guarantee the booking.
More than 30 days prior to the event - No cancellation fee
Cancellation within 30 days of the event - No Refund - FULL fee applies
Weekday bookings: Payment must be made in advance to guarantee the booking.
More than 14 days days prior to the event - No cancellation fee
Cancellation within 14 days of the event - No Refund - FULL fee applies
Hong Kong Walks and lectures:
More than 48 hours prior to the event - no cancellation fee
Cancellation within 48 hours of the event - 50% refund
Cancellation within 24 hours of the event - No Refund - FULL fee applies
Battlefields and New Territories Walled Villages and Clan Halls (additional transport costs):
10 days prior to event – no cancellation fee
72 hours prior to event – 50% of walk fee
Less than 48 hours prior to event – No Refund - FULL fee applies
Macao (additional transport costs apply):
14 days prior to event – no cancellation fee
72 hours prior to event – 50% of walk fee
Less than 48 hours prior to event – No Refund - FULL fee applies
*Ferry tickets are non-refundable in the case of cancellation for any reason.
*Once final number of participants are confirmed and ferry tickets are purchased, additional tickets must be obtained at individual expense. Responsibility for the purchase of additional tickets will, unless otherwise agreed in writing, rest solely with the late-comer.
Canton (additional transport and accommodation costs apply):
14 days prior to event – no cancellation fee
7 days prior – 50% fee
Less than 7 days prior – No Refund - FULL fee applies
*Train tickets are non-refundable in the case of cancellation for any reason.
*Once final number of participants are confirmed and train tickets are purchased, additional tickets must be obtained at individual expense. Responsibility for the purchase of additional tickets will, unless otherwise agreed in writing, rest solely with the late-comer.
Cancellations By Us:
In the event of any cancellation made by us, for whatever reason, the attendee will be refunded in full.
Cancellations made by the attendee, on behalf of any attendee, must be made in writing.
Cancellations Due To Weather:
Walks will be automatically cancelled in the event of a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or a Black Rainstorm.
Participants must be aware that walks are, by definition, a weather-dependent outdoor event. Given the vagaries of weather conditions in Hong Kong, localised weather circumstances may change quickly, regardless of forecast weather conditions on the day.
In the case of unsuitable weather conditions attendees will be contacted prior to event, in general no later than 07:00 on the morning of the scheduled event. Notification will be by email, SMS and – where possible – by personal follow-up telephone call.
The final decision whether or not to go ahead with the scheduled walk remains at our sole discretion.
In general, a re-schedule date will be arranged, and those registered for the cancelled event will have priority for re-registration.
Fees, Costs and Charges:
All fees, unless otherwise stipulated, are on a per person basis and remain unchanged upon receipt of booking confirmation.
Personal Fitness:
Attendees are responsible for ensuring they are in suitable physical condition for all walks/trips/excursions. If you are in any doubt about your level of person fitness you must contact your doctor. All events require some walking.
Hong Kong urban walks are for approximately 3 hours.
Macao, Battlefields and New Territories Walled Villages are full day excursions.
Canton – This is a two-day event.
Please wear sensible footwear at all times, bring a hat if necessary, and carry a water bottle and insect repellent.
Liability and Personal Accident Insurance:
All information provided on our website is correct, to the best of our knowledge, errors, omissions and exceptions not withstanding. We do not assume responsibility or any liability for any attendee’s own misunderstanding or misinterpretation of any information provided on this site.
Responsibility and liability for the arrival and departure of any attendee, rests completely with the attendee.
All events are undertaken at the attendees’ own risk. We accept no liability or obligation in the event of illness, injury, death or loss or damage to personal property.
Any medical condition or medication being taken that might effect your health or participation must be notified to us in writing prior to the event and must be accompanied by a doctor’s certificate to verify your fitness.
Personal accident insurance is strongly advised.
Food and Beverage:
All food and beverage consumed during a walk is the responsibility of the attendee. We accept no responsibility or liability in this instance.
Personal Conduct:
We reserve the right to refuse attendee participation if their actions are deemed to be a risk to themselves or pose a risk or nuisance to others.
Photography:
We reserve the right to photograph or film any event and participants and to use any such images for promotion and or commercial purposes without further recourse or compensation.
Walk Notes and Other Materials:
Walk Notes and Other Materials supplied to attendees, whether in hard-copy, electronic format or any other form, are the personal copyright of Jason Wordie, without limitation, and are not to be reproduced in whole or in part, or distributed to any Third Party in any form whatsoever, without the express written permission of the copyright holder.
Any breach of this condition will result in immediate civil action.
By submitting this booking form I declare that I have read, understand and agree to all of the following:
I understand and am aware that during the travel(s) in which I will participate certain risks and dangers may arise, including but not limited to the hazards of traveling in unsafe areas or under unsafe conditions, the hazards of traveling in politically unstable areas, the dangers of civil disturbance and war, the forces of nature, political unrest, acts of lawlessness or terrorism, and accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities. In consideration of, and as part of the payment for, the right to participate in such travel(s), I have and do hereby expressly assume all of the above risks. This agreement shall serve as a release and express assumption of risk for myself, my heirs, assignees, administrators, executors, and all members of my family, including any minors accompanying me.
I have read and fully understand all parts and the legal consequences of this agreement and I hereby agree that [Angsana/Jason’s Walks] shall assume no liability, to the extent permitted by Hong Kong law, in contract or in tort for any injury, death, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or other events which are beyond [Angsana/Jason’s Walks]’s control, or which are not preventable by reasonable diligence on [Angsana/Jason’s Walks]’s part including, but not limited to war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather or acts of God, except where such injury or death is, in the opinion of the Hong Kong Courts, caused by[Angsana/Jason’s Walks]’s own negligence and I also agree that [Angsana/Jason’s Walks] shall assume no liability for any acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of any third parties and I hereby indemnify [Angsana/Jason’s Walks] accordingly.
